Every car has a story. Some more interesting than others. We all have seen or shot cars that stood out to us. Whether its the design, the history or even its colour. Featured below are some of those cars that stood out to me. You’re likely to find a little bit of everything, from classic Porsche’s to JDM legends and many more. Enjoy!

New Generation Formula One cars.

We’ve seen and heard better.. it can’t be denied but these cars are astonishingly quick. Downforce for days and they sound pretty cool, it was interesting to see the new generation of F1 cars in action. Wheel to wheel racing has defiantly improved this year compared to recent times.

Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2

A car I’ve spent hours watching old videos of. A dream come through to see and shoot this Group B legend.

BMW e30 m3

Number 291 of 500 Evolution 2’s this car is a rarity, an Italian import on Irish roads a sight not often seen. With the weather and location on point, everything came together.

Nissan Sunny

Hands down one of Ireland’s finest builds. Shot in Galway city on a moody Sunday afternoon. So many details make this car stand out to me, the stance, the wheels and the front lip to mention just a few.

Toyota Celica GT2000 Liftback

Where do I even start with this one. The car itself is the definition of cool. A true JDM legend. Tie all that together with the location and the light on that day. Perfection.

R5 Turbo

Renault R5 Turbo

A rally legend. Shot on 35mm film with my Canon ae-1. The scene was perfectly set at the Gowran Racecourse with the Renault abandoned by its driver in favour of a quick chat. The rain was rolling in and I got soaked for this shot. Worth it.

Outlaw 911

Outlaw 911

The Magnus Walker re-imagined 911 was the centre of attention at the October installment of the Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage. The ‘STR II’ was quite the treat for the crowds that day and I wasted no time in shooting it on 35mm film. With Walker based in LA, a car of his on this side of the pond is a rarity. Check out an article I wrote about my experience for Zama Classic below!

Porsche 912

This particular 912 was one of the standout cars of the January Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage. It was the colour, where it was parked and its absolutely immaculate condition. A truly spectacular example.

March 811

This car gave me my first taste of the classic Formula one era. A raw and unforgiving race car, a reminder of a time with less regulation and more all out racing. The sound too, I’ll never forget it as the driver brought it up to speed on the main straight at Mondello Park. Mega. I wrote a short piece about it for a car culture website, check it out!

Mk1 Ford Escort

Not really sure what to say about this one. Just look at it. Painted in Maize yellow and kept in prime condition, it’s incredible that it’s coming up on 50 years old. A true credit to its owner.

Mk1 Golf. The First.

I’m yet to sit into a car that’s turned more heads and been given more thumbs up than this one. The location for this one was the Dublin docklands on a nice summers evening. The Quays were nice and quiet and we took full advantage. Defiantly one of my favourite evenings behind the lens.
